SET THE MOOD
Create a festive “Fiesta Spirit” by setting the table with a bright red tablecloth; use double stick tape to spot stick some Mexican Flags; use green crepe paper streamers to loop in front of the table; then use some small sequined sombreros (various sizes) throughout the table to highlight some of the products you’ll be demonstrating.
You’ll want to use some festive foil paper in gold & black around some boxes of various heights to create a tableau with your display. Otherwise, use festive napkins over acrylic stands of different heights.
It’s a good idea for most consultants to carry 2 Oval Microwave Cooker because 1 will be for cooking use and the other for display!
Try to set your products up in $70, $95 and $120 Host Dollar Increments and make sure to carry the current Host Gift Special.
A DATING BID
To start, let the guests know that the “total” cooking time for this recipe will be around 20 – 25 minutes (plus 5 minutes standing time). Let them know that the ground beef or turkey will be cooked on high 4 minutes per pound (650-800 watts: remember to adjust the cooking time if the microwave is over 800 watts).
Let them know that whether it’s a Housewarming, Bridal Shower, Best Dressed Banana Demo, 7-Up Demo, … or any other kind of demo, you are thanking the Hostess for the privilege of being in her home (give the Hostess some of the token gifts she has earned from the Hostess Tic-Tac-Toe as you’re speaking), and that with $400+ in sales, she’ll reach Host Gift Level. 2+ Datings, the Hostess will receive an extra gift.
RECRUITING BID
Close with … “As you can see. Tupperware has so many gift ideas to choose from … we save you time & energy … and we make a lot of “cents” (shake the Quick Shake) when it comes to the everyday needs of your lifestyle. There’s no time for a Siesta when you have a Tupperware Fiesta … when I work, it’s a party … and just like the prizes from a pi?ata, Tupperware has many gifts to give you … fun, friends, personal growth, a career of choice and money in the bank!
GAMES
MEXI-MIDGET JUMPING BEANS
Divide the guests into two teams! Take 2 midgets and fill them with navy beans or black eyed peas. Using 2 mini sombreros, each guest must dump the beans into the sombrero, then 1 by 1 put them back into the midget and seal the container; then pass everything to the next guest. The first team that has completed this game and has all their beans in the midget, wins! At this time, you can give the winners extra auction bucks, but pass out a small gift to everyone, like a whistle straw or toothbrush holder or citrus peeler.
THE NAME GAME
Using the old standby of the “Name-Game”, let everyone introduce themselves and with the 1st letter of their 1st name, either use a Mexican food, Mexican city or Mexican clothing. Give everyone auction bucks that plays, but have a special gift for the last person in the line!
**You can set this demo any way you wish … some of the items, like the Hostess Gift Special can be put in another part of the room on gold and red napkins with a place card letting guests know that with $400+ Party Sales, the Hostess can receive it FREE! Let guests know that they can “table shop” while you are helping others with their orders … go to another room, if possible, to help with others … that way, you can approach guests about recruiting!

**Tupper Tip 1: To test your microwave for hot spots, take a paper towel, wet thoroughly and then squeeze out excess water; place on the bottom of your microwave and “cook” on high for 1 minute. Remove the paper towel form the oven … hold it uop to the light and if you see a lot of dry “spots”, then you’ll know that your microwave is not cooking evenly. It’s cheaper to buy a new one than repair one … and you really don’t need one over 800 watts.
**Tupper Tip 2: Did you know that by using a conventional oven you’ll pay $70 for 10 hours operating time; but by using the microwave, the cost is only $7!
Involve guests in describing features & benefits of your $70 (Set A), $95 (Set B) or $120 (Set C) Gift Sets (give Auction Bucks; this is also a great way to pick out recruit leads). Use brightly colored place cards labeled A, B or C with the price on the front. Place the card on the brim of a mini sombrero and tell the guests to write down Gift Set A, B or C on their order form. You will have the item #s & individual prices on back for your own reference.
