So romantic gift ideas for valentines day
From Missy:
This is what i am doing…..I have the whole day planned.. Its our 2nd one together and our first as a married couple so want it to be special. II am serving a stack of heart shapped pancakes with strawberrys to start the day, i have booked a chocolate making workshop for us to do in the morning, i am making a special ‘high tea’ lunch then i have rented a thatched cottage to stay the night and taking him to a restauaraunt for a meal and the next morning i will serve him breakfast in bed. got him a few bits to
and
last year…i made him a promise box. I got a heart shapped box from the pound/doller store and filled it with promises for that day. I put in a candle with the promise of a ‘candle lit meal’ that i had waiting for him when he got home, also a small bottle of bath oil with the promise of running him a nice hot bath, and a varies of other things which i wont mention cos you said no rude answers! lol. but you can put what you want in. i got some free tickets to a comedy show which i put in for after the meal.
i also did silly things like when i made his sandwiches for work i cut them into heart shapes and included a heart shapped chocolate lolly in his lunch box and his favourite soft drink which is hard to find where we live. i also stuck heart shapped post it notes in places like his work tool box for him to find during the day to remind him i loved him. i also made a scrapbook for him and put down reasons why i loved him in it. Oh and i baked a cake to and iced sloppy messeges on it.
i have also (not on valentines) promised a night under the stars but cos its still cold i got some glow in the dark stars which you can stick on the ceiling and i packed a picnic and threw a blanket on the living room floor and we ‘picnicked’ under the stars.

a cute gift idea for boyfriend need long time
Going to get a dictionary, and go through it [yes, the whole thing] and highlight words that remind you of him, and going to cover up the front and back of the dictionary and make it pretty and more personal.
It’ll take a long time, but the love is worth it.

A really neat and special gift is a personalized journal
Take a composition notebook that you can get at the store for like a dollar or even fifty cents.
Go to any craft or scrap book store that has open stock paper. This is where you can buy just one sheet of paper and not a whole pack.
Choose the paper you want for the cover (you will need two sheets) and then choose the paper you want for the inside (again two sheets of either matching or contrasting paper).
Cover the front and back with the paper you choose and cut it down so that you only have about an inch of over hang and cut the corners off at an angle. Fold and glue that over hang on the inside of the covers.
Take the other two sheets of paper and measure so that they fit the inside almost exactly or with not more than a 1/4 inch in.
Not that the book is covered choose stickers, letters, pictures, three dimensional things, pressed flowers – what ever would mean something to the receiver – to decorate the front and back covers of the book. You can, if you choose even put things into the inside… either just fluff or writing prompts.
This can either be a personal journal or a ping pong journal where you and the person write back and forth to each other.
Enjoy!

Popular and Easy Craft or Activity for Kids
When I was a den mother with the cub scouts I had a different project every week. One of my favorites was a paper weight made of wood . I would get small slices of branches about 4 inches in diameter and have them paint the slices with acrylic paint to look like water melon slices. I got green red black and white. Just picture them. Black for the border, green and white for the inside border, red for the inside with black dots for the seeds. The parents loved them. Great for a valentine gift for the parents.
here are some more ideas
Leather Like Vase
Art activities are a great way to combine gift giving
with family time. This leather like vase for example,
is a challenging activity for your older child, as well
as a great gift idea. Your child can feel the satisfaction
of creating a gift from the heart, for a Teacher,
Mother’s Day or Grandmother gift!
You’ll need:
Empty bottle or jar
Masking tape
Shoe Polish
Cloth Rag
Completely cover your clean glass bottle,
with torn or cut pieces of masking tape.
Making sure that the pieces of tape overlap
each other. With an old rag, rub the shoe
polish into the tape. Leave to dry.
Fill with flowers or a plant.
Tips……
Younger children should not participate in the
shoe polish stage. Sometimes a second rubbing
or glossing adds to the beauty.
Egg Carton Flowers
Add these home made flowers to your newly created vase!
If you have an older and younger child, they can work as a team. The eldest can make the vase and your little one can paint the flowers.
You’ll Need :
Cardboard egg carton
paint or markers
Pipe Cleaners
Cut the cups away from the rest of the egg carton.
Cut 4 – 6 petals on each flower so that is resembles a tulip.
Bend and curl petals anyway you think looks best.
Poke a hole through the center of the cup. Thread the pipe cleaner trough the hole and knot to create the stem. Use more Pipe cleaners to bend and shape leaves then attach to stem by twisting on. You are now ready to decorate your flower with paint or markers.

Top Ten Gift Ideas for Dance Instructors or Dancers
As the holidays roll around we sometimes get stuck when we are attempting to figure out what to buy people. Teacher gifts are always tough because you don’t want to buy them another mug that they will just set on a shelf. A dance teacher is an even tougher person to buy fo.r Sometimes because if it is your child’s teacher you may not know much about the person, or about dance. As a dance teacher who has received many different gifts and heard from other teachers what they did and did not like I can assure you that what I am about to suggest should please any dance teacher or dancer.
10. As a person who is always trying to eat healthy I once received a box of chocolates, which was wonderful. I never would have bought them myself, and everyone deserves a treat once in awhile. However, not everyone might enjoy them as much as I did. One family gave me a gift basket with hot chocolate, teas, and a mug. I thought that was a very nice and practical gift.
9. Dancer cookies. Continuing with the food theme in my first idea you could also include cookies in the shape of dancers. Or in the shape of other things that may remind you of dance. You could make basic sugar or gingerbread cookies. These could even be a special treat at the end of class for each student. A cookie cutter with a recipe and the ingredients for the recipe in a little basket would also make a nice gift.
8. Ornaments/figurines. I do not know how many little ballerina decorations I own. Every year someone gives me one. Many of them are beautiful, and I do not mind the collection I have accumulated at all. A small figure of a dancer might also be a nice gesture, especially if the figure looked like the student or the teacher. Or maybe it was reminiscent of a part someone had in a recital or ballet. A nutcracker however is probably overused and may not be the best choice for a figure or ornament.
7. If you got caught up in the recent knitting craze you may like to knit a scarf as a gift. An even better thing to knit for a dancer would be legwarmers. You could use three needles without heads, or stitch together a long rectangle. There are different lengths of legwarmers from 17″ to 24″ to 36″ to 48″. Just take your pick; people always appreciate effort and care that gets put into homemade gifts.
6. T-shirts/apparel. You can take a trip to your local dance store, or look in a catalogue such as discount dance supply and find a shirt that says dance or has a dancer on it. Watch for a couple weeks to see what sort of clothing the person you are buying the item is for. wears. Do they wear things loose or tight fitting? Do they even wear t-shirts? Be careful when buying clothing for someone else.
5. Another suggestion is to see what dance things a bookstore might have. A book or video on dance instruction might be something helpful. Just make sure it doesn’t come across as an insult to the teacher’s abilities. You may also find some classical music that could be used in the ballet class, or simply a calendar with dancers on it.
4. Posters/Prints. Many dance studios have posters or prints of dance on their walls. A nicely framed poster or print might be a nice addition the lobby or office of a dance studio. Or the teacher may want to hang it in their home.
3. Hair things. Dancers must always keep their hair up out of their face, unless they are doing African or hip-hop, but typically hair is back. Ponytail elastics, hairnets, cute bobby pins, or even those pretty elastics with flowers that H&M sells are all things you could throw in with a card if you do not feel like spending lots of money. They are practical and something dancers are always running out of.
2. Lotions. I know most people think bath and body products are a cop out gift, but they aren’t for a dancer. A dancer really needs to take care of their body, especially their feet. One of the best gifts I received last Christmas was a special foot lotion and special socks to moisturize your feet. I had never heard of such a thing, but for someone who dances barefoot throughout the year it was wonderful. I now look at my fellow dancers dry feet and think that I should give them some of the lotion. Look for special lotion for the feet, special socks, and even legwarmers could be added to make a nice little gift basket.

1. Picture frames, collages, and scrapbooks. These are always precious gifts because you know a lot of thought has gone into them. Take photos of throughout the years with that dance teacher and yourself or child to make a nice collage or scrapbook. If you or your child is going to be leaving the studio or graduating the gift will be even more special. For a newer student who may not have as many photos a framed photo of the class or the student and teacher might be a nice sentiment.
I have just given you many ideas for gifts to give dance instructors, but any dancer would probably like gifts like these. Some are more expensive than others, but many of them are simple, cheap and not too difficult to find. These ideas should make your holiday shopping for the dancer in your life a little less stressful.
